Pressure Transducer
The electrical interpretation of pressure is based upon the
principle of operation of a strain gauge, wherein structural deformation of the
load sensitive member of the device called wire grid is measured. When the
gauge is subjected to load the wire grid is stretched, changing its diameter
and length and its electrical resistance, thus through measurement of the
change in resistance of the wire grid with the gage under stress and evaluation
of the force producing the load is
obtained.
This operation involve load and pressure from 100 pound to
more than 10,000 psi.
